Job description

As Product Manager Benelux, you lead the interface between our client's Marketing and Sales department by developing specific on-trade strategies and plans that improve product availability and brand visibility in store, optimizing promotional strategy, and strengthen shopper recruitment & loyalty.

The Product Manager reports to the Marketing Manager France-Benelux.


  • Active collaboration with local marketing on future new product initiatives, providing expert Trade POV on feasibility, constraints, etc….
  • Drive “in-store excellence” launch programs by banner for every new product (folders, trial promotions, POS support etc…)
  • Being the expert in Shopper understanding & Category development, challenge the customer plans and provide advices to Sales team in the Netherlands
  • Initiate and co-lead with Sales Manager partnerships programs with Key Customers on Category Management programs in the Netherlands
  • Actively collaborates with the Marketing and Sales leaders to deploy the selling stories at the different levels of the customer organizations
  • Develop country/customer 4P strategy and tactics in line with the Dutch KAM
  • As owner of the trade promotional plan, develop high expertise and make advices to Marketing & Sales to upgrade promotional strategy and plans in the Netherlands

  • Provide sales team with close support through KPI’s and ad hoc analysis
  • Develop efficient & proactive relationships with European colleagues to better exploit their experience and knowledge (customer presentations, category reviews, shopper insights…)

  • Analytical skills
  • Experience in FMCG & Trade Marketing, experience in digital marketing
  • Strong sense of ownership and autonomous
  • Natural achiever, results driven
  • Creative to resolve problems
  • Persuasive selling skills mastery 
  • Ability to communicate cross functions
  • Strong mastery of Category Management concepts
  • Good financial (P&L) understanding
  • Mastery of Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Knowledge of Nielsen
  • Languages: NL/FR/ENG (FR or Dutch at mother tongue level)
